Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 6
September 2, 2008
The brushes you use can greatly enhance your designs in Photoshop Elements. Whether you are looking for grunge or gothic, swirly or curly, floral or funky, you can find a free brush for just about any purpose on the Web. Here is a collection of five of my favorite brush sites.
Obsidian Dawn is my favorite site by artist Stephanie Shimerdla. A wide variety of brushes. Check out her Swirls and Flourishes sets and sign up to for her mailing list.
hawksmont Universe features beautifully drawn vector brushes and interesting cracks and textures.
Valhalla-Vania has some delightfully weird and intricate brushes, just perfect for collages.
deviantART is a mecca for all kinds of original artwork and resources and their collection of brushes is superb. Many unique artists contribute to their vast collection of brushes, such as gvalkyrie, shown below.
Brusheezy is a brush listing site with contributions from multiple designers. New brushes are added frequently. These old postage stamp brushes by Alex Dukal are a winner.
