Greeting card

Using one of Photoshop Elements' built-in projects, make a single-fold greeting card. In previous steps, we have added a background, a graphic embellishment and text. In Step 6, we resized the canvas to change a postcard to a single-fold greeting card. In the Step 7, we will print the card.

Project Steps

Follow these steps to create a greeting card.

Step 1: Start a Greeting Card project and specify card options.
Step 2: Add a background.
Step 3: Add a graphic.
Step 4: Add text.
Step 5: Make edits.
Step 6: Resize the canvas.
Step 7: Print the card.

Step 7: Print the Greeting Card

  1. From the File menu, select Print. The Print dialogue box is displayed:

  2. To print a 10x7" card, select the Landscape orientation.
  3. Check Center Image to center the print image on the page.
  4. Click Print Crop Marks to print crop marks to aid in cutting the card.
  5. Click Print.

Tips

Before you print the card, check your printer settings to make sure that they are set to the best print quality for the type of paper you are using.

Double-sided matte photo paper works well for cards. Always choose the best quality paper for the best results.

Use a paper cutter to trim the edges of the card. The printed crop marks will help.

Carefully fold the trimmed card and add your own handwritten greetings.
