Photoshop Elements: How to Save Pattern Sets

You can use the Preset Manager to save custom pattern sets to use in Photoshop Elements. Pattern sets will have a file extension of .PAT

To save a custom pattern set:

  1. Create and save a few custom patterns. See Cool Fifties Pattern to learn how to make a pattern.
  2. From the Edit menu, select Preset Manager. The Preset Manager is displayed.

  3. Select Patterns from the drop-down presets list.
  4. Press Ctrl+Click to select the patterns you want to include in a new set.
  5. Click Save Set.
  6. In the Save window, browse to select a location for the pattern set, enter a name, and click Save.
